Remembrance Sunday at Euxton
8th November 2015

Euxton War Memorial was dedicated earlier this year and for the first time an Act of Remembrance was held there.
Unfortunately the rain would not relent and the Service was held in St Marys RC Church.
However after the service wreaths were laid at the Memorial, including one in memory of West Lancashire Mark Masons who served and gave their lives in two world wars and other conflicts.
W.Bro Woods and Frank Lees
In laying the wreath I was ably assisted by W. Bro Frank Woods, a past master of Euxton Lodge. Frank is aged 97 and saw active service during the 2nd World War.
He and his wife,Joan, now live in Leyland, but Frank was born and bred in Euxton and it was a proud moment for him to take part in the inaugural Euxton Remembrance Service.
